UTMACH Organizes the Second Regional Workshop on Applications and Research in Data Science
The Technical University of Machala (UTMACH) is organizing the “2nd Regional Workshop on Applications and Research in Data Science (TARECDA 2023)” thanks to the support, endorsement, and funding provided by Google Research. This event marks a milestone for UTMACH, as it is the only university in South America that received support this year to organize the workshop.
Today’s event welcomed students from Loja, as well as university delegations from Piura, Huancayo, and Trujillo, who joined this enriching experience. The talks are delivered by internationally renowned speakers from the United States, Brazil, and Peru, as well as Ecuador. Representing UTMACH are faculty members Iván Ramírez, Bertha Mazón, and Eduardo Tusa, who will share their knowledge.
At the opening ceremony, welcome remarks were delivered by Jhonny Pérez Rodríguez, Rector of the institution, and the inauguration was led by Luis Felipe Brito, Vice-Rector for Research. The learning and knowledge sessions are being held at the Hillary Resort and conclude this Tuesday, December 19, 2023.
